There was one lucky winner in New York City who recently scored $50,000 with a third-prize Powerball ticket.
The New York Lottery announced the winning ticket for the Jan. 8 drawing matched four white balls and the red Powerball. It was sold at Greenpoint Expressway, located at 35-15 Greenpoint Ave., in Long Island City, Queens.
