NYC Macy’s employee stops burglar from stealing $1.5M in jewelry during overnight heist

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A burglar nearly got away with $1.5 million in jewelry from the Macy’s store in Downtown Brooklyn—but he was stopped during his escape by a shrewd employee, police said Wednesday.

Surveillance footage from the NYPD shows the suspect inside the store at 422 Fulton St. during the would-be heist on Monday night.
