New York bodegas making key change to save signature dish during egg crisis

New York City has found a way to avoid raising prices on their staple bodega bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches.

The classic breakfast sandwich, which can usually be found for under $5, will now be made with liquid eggs instead of fresh eggs as food distributors tackle rising egg costs amid the country’s bird flu outbreak , among other factors such as inflation , the United Bodegas of America announced.
