Off-duty NYPD cop shot, wounded in Astoria after being ambushed by 2 men in masks

An off-duty NYPD officer was wounded in the leg  after being apparently ambushed in Astoria, Queens on Sunday morning, law enforcement sources said.

Two men were taken into custody after alerts went out about a shooting at the intersection of 43rd Avenue and 21st Street about 6:30 a.m., where authorities found the 25-year-old officer suffering from a graze wound, sources told The Post.
