Man hit by car while running from gunfire in East Harlem

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A man was struck and injured by a car as he ran from gunfire and into oncoming traffic in East Harlem on Tuesday morning, police said.

The man was fleeing gunshots on East 116th Street around 10:40 a.m. when he ran from Pleasant Avenue towards First Avenue, according to cops.

As he bolted into oncoming traffic, the driver of a white car struck him and knocked him to the roadway, police said…
