MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) – A suspect was arrested Wednesday in connection with the fatal stabbing of a man in the New York City subway last week, police said.
Luis Jose-Duarte, 46, of the Bronx, was charged with first-degree manslaughter in the stabbing death of 38-year-old John Sheldon in Lower Manhattan on Friday, according to the NYPD.

Sheldon was stabbed in the chest after he and another subway rider got into an argument on a southbound No. 5 train during the morning rush hour, according to sources. The other man had stepped on Sheldon’s shoes, sources said.
After he was stabbed, Sheldon collapsed on the platform of the Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall subway station, police said. He was later pronounced dead at a hospital…
