Three men, 17-year-old, arrested for burglarizing 4 N.J. homes in 1 night, officials say

Three Newark men and a 17-year-old were accused of burglarizing four Bergen County homes and attempting to break into another in one night last year, investigators announced Tuesday.

The burglary spree began shortly before 1 a.m. on Nov. 26, 2024, at a home on Chestnut Street in Englewood, according to a statement from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office. The resident reported hearing someone in the house along with the activation of the home’s security alarm. They told police they saw a group of people flee in a dark-colored car.

At 1:13 a.m., a resident of a Devonshire Road home in Cresskill reported that their home had been burglarized, the office said. The suspects fled the scene before police arrived, but surveillance footage showed three people at a window in the back of home using a crowbar to remove the screen.
