A sudden surge of violence rocked a Chelsea martial arts school over the weekend when a former student, expelled for misconduct, returned to inflict harm. According to ABC7NY, the incident occurred just before noon yesterday at Radical MMA NYC, where Caleb Perry, a 23-year-old expelled student, stabbed another man three times in the back before being subdued and arrested.
The confrontation began as Perry, who the owner of the gym acknowledged as a disgruntled former student, sought out management upon entering the facility located on West 29th Street. His aggressive search for confrontation quickly escalated, leading to a physical altercation with a 24-year-old student, as reported by The Post. Despite the quick response from fellow students and staff to restrain the assailant, the victim sustained severe injuries, requiring immediate medical attention.
“And that student turned around and restrained him and the other students jumped in a disarmed him, and that’s when the cops arrested him,” said Rene Dreifuss, owner of the martial arts school, in a statement obtained by ABC7NY.
