5 killed across NYC in violent weekend, no arrests yet, police say

Police on Monday were investigating five separate homicides that happened across New York City over the weekend, including one that took place on an MTA shuttle bus, according to NYPD officials.

Officials said they had not made any arrests yet, and had publicly identified all but one of the victims. The killings occurred in Manhattan, the Bronx, Queens and Brooklyn at various times of day, starting Friday night, the NYPD said. Three of the victims killed were stabbed, and two were shot.

Police responded to the first incident on Friday around 8:49 p.m. at NYCHA’s Alfred E. Smith Houses in Two Bridges, according to officials. They said a 35-year-old man was shot in the chest and was later pronounced dead at Bellevue Hospital. The NYPD said early Monday it still did not have a possible suspect or motive in the killing…
