KEARNY, NJ — A violent multi-vehicle crash on the Newark-Jersey City Turnpike early Friday morning left two people dead and several others hospitalized, according to the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office.
The collision occurred shortly after 3:30 a.m. near 490 Newark-Jersey City Turnpike. Kearny police officers responded and discovered two heavily damaged vehicles: a BMW sedan and a Ford Transit Van.
Authorities said the male driver of the BMW and a female passenger were both pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 4:45 a.m. Their identities have not yet been released, pending formal identification and notification of their families…
