QUEENS, N.Y. — A 29-year-old man was hospitalized after being assaulted and rendered unconscious by two unidentified men near 81st Street and Northern Boulevard early Saturday morning, police said.
The incident occurred around 4:20 a.m., when the victim was approached from behind by one of the suspects who placed his arm around the victim’s neck. A second man then began striking the victim repeatedly, according to the NYPD.
Once the victim lost consciousness, both attackers continued to hit him before fleeing the scene in a gray 2017 Ford Mustang. The direction of travel after the incident is unknown, authorities said.
Emergency Medical Services responded and transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst, where he was listed in stable condition with bruising to his body…
