Photos: K-9’s ‘air sniff’ leads to drug bust on Interstate 40 in North Carolina

CLINTON, N.C. (WNCN) — A Sampson County special team patrolling Interstate 40 busted a driver from New York on drug charges with the help of a K-9 deputy last week, officials said.

The incident happened on Thursday when the Criminal Interdiction Team of the Sampson County Sheriff’s Office was checking for traffic issues along I-40, a sheriff’s office news release said.
