A tragic incident has left a 25-year-old man dead in Hunts Point, Bronx, following a shooting yesterday evening. According to ABC7 New York, the NYPD responded to a 911 call at approximately 8:15 p.m. and discovered the victim with multiple gunshot wounds to the torso in front of 729 Bryant Ave. He was transported to Lincoln Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The circumstances surrounding this act of violence remain unclear, police are actively seeking a male suspect who was seen fleeing the scene on a moped; so far, no arrests have been made but the investigation is ongoing. Mourning yet another instance of senseless bloodshed, Hunts Point reels from its first homicide of the year, an area that has seen a drop in such violent crimes, with the 41st Precinct reporting only four shootings in 2025 compared to nine during the same period last year.
