NEW YORK (Diya TV) — A Pakistani citizen residing in Canada has been extradited to the United States on terrorism-related charges after allegedly plotting an ISIS-inspired mass shooting targeting a Jewish community center in Brooklyn, federal authorities announced Monday.
Muhammad Shahzeb Khan, 20, also known as Shahzeb Jadoon, arrived in the U.S. on June 10 following his extradition from Canada. He is charged with attempting to provide material support to the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS), a designated foreign terrorist organization, and attempting to commit acts of terrorism transcending national boundaries, according to a statement from the U.S. Department of Justice.
Khan is expected to make his initial court appearance in the Southern District of New York on June 11. U.S. Attorney Jay Clayton said Khan had intended to “use automatic weapons to kill as many members of our Jewish community as possible, all in support of ISIS,” calling the plan “deadly and antisemitic.”…
