Teen robbed at gunpoint by suspects on scooter in Bensonhurst

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — A 14-year-old boy was robbed at gunpoint Wednesday evening in Bensonhurst, police said.

The incident occurred around 7:10 p.m. near 16th Avenue and 71st Street. The teenager had just exited the train station when two unidentified individuals on a motorized scooter approached him, according to police.

One of the suspects displayed a firearm, made a verbal threat, and forcibly took the victim’s jacket. The jacket contained jewelry and a wallet with a total value of approximately $820.

Both suspects then fled the scene eastbound on 71st Street toward New Utrecht Avenue on the scooter. No injuries were reported during the incident.
