NY on ‘high alert’ after U.S. strikes Iran: Gov. Hochul

NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) – New York is on “high alert” after U.S. military strikes in Iran, Gov. Kathy Hochul said Sunday morning.

The MTA and Port Authority have activated counterterrorism protections, Hochul said.

“We are not aware of any specific or credible threat to New Yorkers. However, given New York’s distinctive global profile, we are taking this situation extraordinarily seriously,” Hochul said. “All State agencies, utilities and other critical infrastructure facilities are on high alert.”
