Zohran Mamdani’s big win in the Democratic primary of the New York City mayor’s race was not taken particularly well by CNBC’s Jim Cramer.
During Wednesday morning’s edition of Squawk on the Street, the CNBC analyst imagined what life would be like in Mamdani’s New York. Cramer was joined in the criticism of Mamdani by his colleague David Faber — who set up Cramer to tee off on the 33-year-old Democratic Socialist.
“The new mayor, potentially, of New York is going to freeze the rents and everybody eats for free,” Faber said mockingly. “So they don’t have to worry.”…
