17-Year-Old Youth Charged in Fatal Shooting of 18-Year-Old Opposite Kingsbridge Armory

The NYPD has launched a murder inquiry after an 18-year-old man who was shot earlier this month in Fordham Manor died. One person has been arrested and the investigation is ongoing.

Police said that on Saturday, June 7, at around 9.45p.m., officers from the 52 Precinct responded to a 911 call for a person who had been shot at 18 West Kingsbridge Road (opposite the Kingsbridge Armory).

“Upon arrival, officers were informed that an 18-year-old male was shot in the buttocks by an unidentified individual after a verbal dispute,” an NYPD spokesperson said. “The individual fled the location in an unknown direction. EMS responded and transported the victim to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition.”…
