Teen Arrested In Tragic Shooting Of Bronx Drill Rapper

17-year-old has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of Jordany Aracena, a fellow 17-year-old and up-and-coming drill rapper from the Bronx, police said Tuesday.

The shooting happened on September 25 in the Mott Haven neighborhood. Investigators believe Aracena may have been targeted because of lyrics in his drill music, which often includes references to violence and street life.

That evening, around 6:15 p.m., Aracena was on Beekman Avenue near East 141st Street when five masked individuals dressed in black opened fire. He was hit in the chest and arm.
