North Bergen’s Bike Patrol is officially back on duty following the graduation of the township’s newest class of police officers from the Police Academy. According to Public Safety Commissioner Allen Pascual and Police Chief Robert J. Farley, Jr., the officers recently completed a four-day Patrol Bicycle Course led by Corporal Danny Brown, an instructor certified by the International Police Mountain Bike Association.
The training included technical riding skills, emergency maneuvers, and a night patrol ride through town. The program is physically demanding and designed to prepare officers for a range of urban patrol situations.
