MANHATTAN, N.Y. — A 33-year-old man was robbed early Tuesday morning while sleeping aboard a northbound 7 train approaching the 42 Street subway station, police said.
The incident occurred around 3 a.m., when an unidentified man sat next to the victim and cut his right pants pocket, removing a wallet while the victim slept. The wallet contained credit and debit cards, identification, a MetroCard, and approximately $150 in cash.
According to police, the suspect later attempted multiple unauthorized transactions using the stolen credit cards.
The suspect fled the subway station on foot in an unknown direction. No injuries were reported…
