Man arrested for deadly shooting, slashing in the Bronx: NYPD

THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) — A Bronx man is facing murder charges after a deadly shooting and slashing that left one teenager dead and another sent to the hospital, police said.

38-year-old Travis Profit was arrested Thursday afternoon and charged with murder and attempted murder, among other crimes, for his role in the incident on Westchester Avenue Tuesday.

Police responded to the reported assault around 3:40 p.m., where officers found an 18-year-old with a stab wound to his chest and a 15-year-old with a slash to his lip. The 18-year-old died at the hospital later on.

Police initially learned Profit was taken to the same hospital with a gunshot wound around the time of the 9-1-1 call, according to reports. Further investigation led to Profit’s arrest…
