Each day, 75% of NYC transit riders choose to use the OMNY tap-and-go entry system over the MetroCard system, and a large majority give it high reviews in customer satisfaction surveys, according to a top MTA official.
In a spring 2025 bi-annual MTA customer satisfaction survey, conducted from April 21 to May 4, 48,000 subway customers and 23,000 bus customers resulted in overwhelmingly positive reviews, according to Jessie Lazarus, the MTA’s deputy chief of commercial ventures.
