INWOOD, Manhattan (PIX11) — A woman is on the run after escaping police custody in Manhattan early Saturday morning, according to authorities.
The woman had been taken into custody near the intersection of Dyckman Street and Sherman Avenue in Inwood just before 3 a.m., police say.

Sources say it’s unclear when the woman took off and how she managed to get away. Investigators are canvassing the area for photos and videos of the suspect.
