One of New York City’s most beloved summer traditions is back and bigger than ever. The 51st annual Harlem Week will run from Aug. 1 to Aug. 17, bringing 17 days of free cultural celebrations, concerts, family fun, and educational events to the heart of uptown Manhattan.
Themed “Celebrate Our Magic,” this year’s festival shines a light on the soul of Harlem. What started in 1974 as a one-day event to uplift a struggling community has blossomed into a full-fledged summer institution attracting hundreds of thousands each year.
That magic will be on full display across more than two weeks of nonstop festivities.
