4 NYPD officers injured when police cruisers collide in Queens

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Two police cruisers collided in Queens on Monday night, injuring four officers and totaling the two vehicles.

The officers were responding to a call of shots fired in the Rockaways just after 10 p.m. when they crashed at Beach 35th Street and Rockaway Freeway.

One patrol vehicle had heavy front-end damage after apparently T-boning the second vehicle, Citizen App video shows. “I was outside watering the plants and I heard boom-bang,” one witness said.

All four officers suffered minor injuries and were taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in stable condition…
