SUBWAY DOGNAPPING: Thief steals American Bully after owner falls asleep on Bronx train

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A thief stole a dog from a man who fell asleep on a Bronx subway train this week, the NYPD said Wednesday as they released photos of the suspect and the missing pup.

The dog’s 45-year-old owner was riding a northbound D train through the Norwood section at the time of the dognapping around 6 a.m. Sunday, according to police.

The owner fell asleep on the train, and as he was dozing off, another man snatched his American Bully breed dog near the Norwood station, police said.

The suspect, who’s believed to be between 20 and 25 years old, fled the train with the dog, cops said…
