MTA worker seeks $10 million in damages after subway assault

NEW YORK (PIX11) — It was a violent attack on two MTA workers in a Bronx subway station that made headlines across the city this past April.

Since then, one of those workers was suspended as a result of his actions — which he claims were in self-defense.

The Bronx father, 47, said he and a conductor were spat on and struck with a scooter by a homeless man they had asked to leave an out-of-service train.

“He jumps at me, spit at my face, and I went to grab him because he has the scooter he assaults the conductor with,” Shepard said…
