ICE New York City Teams Up with FBI and Nassau County Police to Arrest Three MS-13 Gang Members on Multiple Violent Charges

In a significant crackdown on gang-related violence, ICE New York City, in collaboration with the Nassau County Police Department and the FBI, has taken three MS-13 gang members into custody, each accused of violent crimes, including attempted murder and gang assault, as confirmed in a recent ICE announcement.

Among those arrested, Elias Wilfredo Serrano Bonilla, a 21-year-old from El Salvador, was charged with a staggering amount of violent offenses including eight counts of attempted murder, multiple assault counts with a weapon, robbery, and conspiracy on August 8; Bonilla who had resided in the U.S. since before December 2016 faces a multitude of charges that illustrates the severity of his alleged criminal involvement. Similarly, Edras Daniel Velasquez Giron, a 19-year-old Honduran national who entered the country before June 2022, faces his own litany of charges, including six counts of attempted murder, first-degree assault, and possession of a weapon, with charges unfolding after a judge had previously ordered his removal in absentia in 2023.
