Traffic stop leads to felony drug and weapons arrests

SOUTHEAST – A traffic stop on Route 684 in Southeast has led to the arrest of a Bronx woman and a man from Pennsylvania on felony charges of drugs and weapons possession.

State Police were alerted Monday to be on the look-out for a vehicle wanted in connection with a fraud investigation originating from the Port Jervis Police Department in Orange County.

Troop K Public Information Officer Trooper Krystal Paolicelli said a short time later, a speeding vehicle was observed headed southbound along the interstate and a trooper assigned to the State Police Somers barracks initiated a traffic stop, assisted by members of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office…
