RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A man suspected of murder in Raleigh who was arrested in New York City earlier this month is back in Wake County.
According to Wake County Detention Center records, 30-year-old Justin Malik York is back in their custody as of Tuesday. The Raleigh Police Department announced York’s arrest in New York City on Aug. 13 and said then that he was awaiting extradition back to North Carolina.
York is suspected in a deadly shooting that happened on June 19 in the 4500 block of Colscott Place in southeast Raleigh. The police department said 26-year-old Rakel Olajuwan Kirtz was killed in the shooting…
