New York City’s health department has launched an investigation after at least two cases of Legionnaires disease were detected in the Bronx, New York.
Two residents of the Parkchester North Condominiums tested positive for the disease within 10 months of each other. A full of evaluation of the building is still underway.
The cases are thought to be related to a building’s internal hot water plumbing system,according to health officials.

Residents of the 4,000-unit building will have use extreme caution as the building undergoes “extensive remendiation” that can take months or years, department officials warned…
