Bronx, NY – A store worker was assaulted during a daylight robbery Sunday morning inside a Jerome Avenue business, police said.
The incident happened around 9:40 a.m. at 2441 Jerome Avenue when an unidentified man entered the store and demanded merchandise. After grabbing items, the suspect tried to flee but was confronted by a 24-year-old male employee who attempted to stop him.
The suspect then pulled a black firearm, struck the worker repeatedly in the body and face, and ran off westbound on Jerome Avenue toward Fordham Road. The victim sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
The suspect is described as a male with a medium complexion and slim build, approximately 55 to 60 years old, with gray and black facial hair. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, black jeans, and black sneakers…
