A Brooklyn mother and caregiver wants a new home to be closer to grandma

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) — A Brooklyn mom of two says she is at her breaking point, caught between caring for her children and her 90-year-old grandmother, who is battling Alzheimer’s.

At the same time, she is living in a NYCHA apartment with water damage and mold.

Rembert is asking for a transfer to a three-bedroom apartment at Bay View Houses. She says moving would allow her to better care for her grandmother and her children…
