We are going to get a decent soaking of rain and there will be some thunderstorms in the mix. Radars are loaded up this morning to the west and southwest plus some areas did see showery rains overnight. We are on course for total rainfalls to be on the order of 1.5 to 2 inches in most places before this is all said and done. Heavier rains and the risk for severe weather come later in the afternoon and evening. The Storm Prediction Center is indicating the risk for isolated severe thunderstorms today for much of Eastern Pennsylvania to New Jersey, New York state and Southern New England. We also see the risk for an isolated tornado or two to spin up.
