Woman Struck by Stray Bullet as Teen Shooters Pedal Away on Citi Bikes in NYC

The Bronx, NY – A 44-year-old woman was struck by what authorities believe was a stray bullet during a shooting carried out by two teens riding Citi Bikes in Fordham, officials report. The NYPD has released surveillance footage showing the suspects fleeing the scene on bicycles.

Shooting Incident

The shooting occurred around 6:40 p.m. on September 9 at the intersection of East 188th Street and Webster Avenue, according to police.

The woman was hit in the arm and immediately transported by NYPD officers to St. Barnabas Hospital, where she was reported to be in stable condition. Law enforcement sources confirmed that there is no evidence the victim was targeted, and the motive of the shooting remains under investigation.
