QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) — Police are investigating after a four-vehicle crash involving a 15-year-old driver left one person dead on the Long Island Expressway early Saturday morning, according to authorities.
The 15-year-old was driving a black 2019 Mitsubishi SUV westbound on the Long Island Expressway when he rear-ended motorcyclist Luis Mareno, 30, just before 12:45 a.m. near exit 22A, police said.

Mareno was thrown from the motorcycle and was hit by another vehicle driven by a 30-year-old woman, officials reported.
The motorcycle, meanwhile, went spinning across three lanes of the Long Island Expressway and hit an unoccupied 2017 Infinite Q50 on the shoulder of the road…
