Unionport: House Burglars Make Off with $100,000 Dressed as Amazon Workers

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the two people seen in the attached photos disguised as Amazon workers who they say are wanted in connection with a residential burglary that occurred in Unionport.

Police said that on Wednesday, Sept. 17, at around 9.20 p.m. two unidentified people forcibly entered a residential home in the vicinity of Ellis Avenue and Castle Hill Avenue through the front door. They said once inside, they removed a safe which contained documents and approximately $100,000.

“The individuals then fled the location on foot, traveling eastbound on Ellis Avenue where they entered a parked white Kia Telluride and fled northbound on Havemeyer Avenue,” a police spokesperson said. “There were no injuries reported.”

Police said the first suspect was described as male, has a medium complexion, and was last seen wearing a black, long-sleeved shirt, an Amazon vest, a black ski mask, a black hat and sunglasses…
