Man accused of biting, robbing subway rider on NYC train

BENSONHURST, Brooklyn (PIX11) — A man is accused of biting a subway rider on the hand during a fight on a Brooklyn train last month, police said Wednesday.

Gary Policastro, 32, allegedly attacked the 21-year-old man while the victim was sitting on the southbound D train as it was approaching the Bay Parkway subway station in Bensonhurst at around 5:50 a.m. on Sept. 7, according to the NYPD.

The two argued before the suspect grabbed the victim and allegedly threw him to the floor, bit his hand, and stole his wallet, cops said. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Policastro then ran out of the Bay Parkway subway station and later used the man’s bank cards to make purchases, police said…
