Brooklyn, NY – Two teenagers were apprehended after being caught on video brandishing machetes on Borough Park street Monday afternoon, authorities said. The teens, ages 14 and 15, allegedly stabbed an 18-year-old man and threatened a 26-year-old during the incident.
Incident Caught on Video
The footage, posted by the Boro Park Shomrim volunteer patrol, shows one teen in a red hoodie carrying a large machete at his side around 5:10 p.m. He was soon joined by a larger group at 43rd Street and New Utrecht Avenue, including another teen in a black hoodie, also armed with a machete.
The video shows the teens running into the street after being spotted by Shomrim members.
Victims Targeted
During the encounter, one teen allegedly stabbed an 18-year-old man in the back and slashed his hip during a dispute. The teens also allegedly threatened a 26-year-old man with a machete near 45th Street and Fort Hamilton Parkway, according to police.
The 18-year-old victim was transported to Maimonides Medical Center, where he is listed in stable condition, according to The Post.
