The mother of a 5-year-old boy found wandering alone in the dark outside a Queens laundromat early one morning this week is in custody and expected to face charges of reckless endangerment and acting in a manner injurious to a child, according to law enforcement sources with direct knowledge of the case.
A worker at the laundromat noticed the boy outside the Seagirt Boulevard business and called police.
That investigation prompted a video canvass that led police to a house where they found six other children, not including the child from the laundromat. They ranged in age from 1 to 11 years old…
