CONEY ISLAND, Brooklyn (PIX11) — A 76-year-old Brooklyn woman was killed when she was struck by a solar panel that flew off a steel carport at an outdoor parking lot during the nor’easter, officials said.
Authorities found the woman unconscious at 3100 Ocean Parkway near Brighton Beach Avenue in Coney Island at around 10:30 a.m. Sunday, according to the NYPD.

The 3 feet 5 inches wide and 7 feet 3 inches long solar panel flew about 20 feet before it hit the victim close to the Ocean Parkway Q train subway station, according to the Department of Buildings.
The woman was rushed to the hospital but could not be saved, police said. The medical examiner will determine the cause of death. She has not been identified…
