NYCHA residents ‘trapped’ after fire destroys both elevators

BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) — Older New Yorkers living at the Adams Houses in the Bronx say they feel trapped in their apartments after a fire destroyed both elevators inside their 15-story NYCHA building.

For weeks, residents, many elderly or disabled, have asked for help.
