A disturbing case has emerged in New York City after authorities charged a man with concealing his deceased boyfriend’s body in a garbage bag and attempting to dispose of it, officials revealed this week.
Shocking Discovery in Brooklyn Apartment
According to police sources, officers were called to a Brooklyn apartment on Tuesday evening after neighbors reported a strong odor and suspicions of foul play. Upon arrival, NYPD officers discovered the lifeless body of a 32-year-old man, identified only as the suspect’s boyfriend, inside a large black garbage bag.
Investigators estimated the body weighed around 40 pounds due to partial decomposition, suggesting it may have been in the apartment for several days. Emergency Medical Services pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
The suspect, a 34-year-old man whose identity has not yet been released pending formal charges, allegedly told police he “panicked” after finding his boyfriend dead and decided to conceal the body rather than call for help.
