NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) – Since the start of the year, the NYPD has made 24,060 arrests in New York City’s transit system, a 44% increase from the year before.
Some 10,92 of these arrests were for fare evasion, reflecting a 43% increase from 2024, the data show.
