MANHATTAN — While serving with the New York City Police Department, an Orange County man has been accused of taking tens of thousands of dollars worth of bribes in exchange for trafficking drugs and planned to use his law enforcement credentials to avoid arrest, according to newly filed federal court documents.
Harriman resident Andrew Nguyen, 41, faces an eight-count indictment unsealed on Nov. 4 in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, charging him with wire fraud, criminal weapons possession, and commerce interference.
