Morris Heights: Man Seemingly Bludgeoned to Death inside Apartment

The NYPD has launched a murder investigation after a 48-year-old man was killed in the Morris Heights section of The Bronx on Saturday night, Nov. 8.

Police said that on Saturday at around 8.52 p.m., officers from the 46th Precinct received a 911 call regarding an unconscious male inside 1851 Phelan Place, just south of the University Heights section of The Bronx.

“Upon arrival, officers were informed that a 48-year-old male was assaulted and struck multiple times in the head and body with a metal object,” a police spokesperson said. “The victim was transported by EMS to St. Barnabas Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.”…
