Code Blue alert hits for 20 million people amid extreme cold weather – city says ‘no one seeking shelter will be denied’

A WINTER weather warning has hit 20 million people as temperatures are expected to drop drastically overnight.

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a cold-weather alert in coordination with New York City Emergency Management (NYCEM).

From Monday, November 17, at 4 pm EST to Tuesday, November 18, 8 am EST, a Code Blue will be declared in New York City as overnight temperatures plummet.
