NEW YORK (PIX11) – It’s not just “the worst of the worst” whom immigration agents are arresting, but also migrants in the U.S. who have not committed a crime, the director of ICE operations in New York told PIX11 News in an exclusive interview on Friday.
“Obviously, as we’re out in the field looking for these criminals, we’re also encountering other individuals who are illegally present in the United States. So those individuals are in violation of immigration law, and they will also be arrested,” New York ICE Director Ken Genalo told PIX on Politics host Dan Mannarino.

“When you’re looking for the worst of the worst, that’s what we’re out doing. If you come across another individual who’s with the worst of the worst, sometimes, some of these people are conspirators or co-conspirators with them. And we are arresting those individuals,” Genalo added.
