A man is recovering in the hospital after he was allegedly stabbed on a Queens subway train following a dispute about the volume of a phone call.
New York City police say officers responded to the Jamaica Center/Parsons and Archer station around 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22, after receiving a report of an assault aboard an E train. A 54-year-old man told officers he had been stabbed during the incident. His name has not been released.
According to reports from the New York Post and the New York Daily News, the victim asked another rider seated nearby to lower his voice while talking on the phone. The two then argued, and the situation escalated. The suspect allegedly punched the victim several times before stabbing him in the abdomen with a blade, the outlets reported.
Emergency responders took the 54-year-old to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center. Police said he is expected to recover. Investigators believe the suspect fled the train when it pulled into the station…
